Falcons DC Jeff Ulbrich breaks silence after son's NFL Draft prank call of Shedeur Sanders

The NFL fined the Atlanta Falcons $250,000 and defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich $100,000 for the NFL Draft prank call of Shedeur Sanders. Ulbrich's son, Jax, pranked the now-Cleveland Browns quarterback in a video that has gone viral.

Although Jax Ulbrich has since apologized, the NFL wasted no time handing down fines since the number was found on the iPad of the Falcons DC.

The $100,000 fine for Ulbrich is a big one and is just over 6% of his salary, so it's a tough pill to swallow. On Wednesday, the Falcons DC spoke about the incident for the first time publicly since it happened.

"Obviously not happy, and shocked," Ulbrich said. "So I made the Falcons aware of the situation and our next course of action was to try to get ahold of the Sanders family so we could apologize in person, which we were able to do."

"The Sanders family, Shedeur and coach Sanders, were amazingly gracious," he continued. "More gracious than they needed to be in a moment like this."

It was not a good look for the Falcons or the Ulbrich family, and the team and Ulbrich now have to reap the consequences.
