Ex-Seahawks safety Jamal Adams placed on Titans’ non-football injury list

Adams was also reportedly upset about his lack of playing time.

If you’re wondering how polarizing former Seattle Seahawks safety Jamal Adams has been doing with the Tennessee Titans, the answer will probably not surprise you.

Coming off their bye week, the Titans placed Adams on the reserve/non-football injury list after he missed every practice for this week’s matchup with the Indianapolis Colts. Adams was listed with a hip injury, which had previously bothered him during training camp. He will be required to miss at least four games.

Adams had been reportedly frustrated over his lack of playing time, and it’ll be impossible for him to get playing time over the next month.

We’ve long known the story of Adams’ injury history with the Seahawks, most notably his torn quad on the opening day of the 2022 season that caused him to miss the entire year and the early stages of 2023. The ongoing health issues prompted him to end his season (and Seahawks career) four games early.

Adams is only 28 years old and while he may not garner sympathy from Seahawks fans (particularly after this incident), it looks as if the injuries are too much to overcome, and his NFL career is most likely coming to a close sooner rather than later.

Meanwhile, fellow ex-Seahawks safety Quandre Diggs has played almost every snap for the Titans and has recorded a two-point conversion interception, 21 tackles, and a pro wrestling collision with Packers running back Emmanuel Wilson.

The Seahawks have over $30 million in dead cap money tied to Adams and Diggs this season.
