Former Baltimore Ravens assistant coach Marwan Maalouf will be roaming a new sideline next season, as he's been hired by the Denver Broncos as their new assistant special teams coach as reported by Mike Klis of 9News.
The move reunites him with Darren Rizzi who was recently named as Sean Payton's special teams coordinator, as the two worked together with the Dolphins from 2013-18.
Phil Galiano was expected to join Rizzi in Denver, but the Saints retained him and promoted him to their special teams coordinator when Rizzi left town.
Maalouf was in New Orleans for part of last season after Rizzi was promoted to interim head coach and assisted Galiano for the final eight games of the year.
In 2019-2020, Maalouf was the Vikings special teams coordinator and was his last stop in the NFL until last season in New Orleans.
From 2008-11, Maalouf was in Baltimore as the assistant special teams coordinator early in John Harbaugh's tenure with the Ravens.
