The Pittsburgh Steelers got a win in Week 1 over the Atlanta Falcons, but the offense didn't exactly impress.
Six Chris Boswell field goals were enough for the Steelers to earn the 18-10 win, but their offense was exposed a bit, especially with Justin Fields under center for an injured Russell Wilson.
While Pittsburgh will enter Empower Field at Mile High Stadium as 2.5-point favorites on the board, at least one former Bronco doesn't see things transpiring that way on the field.
During his show, "Breakfast Ball" on FOX, former Washington and Denver Broncos guard Mark Schlereth predicted a two-touchdown win by the home team.
"Broncos by two touchdowns," he said. Thankfully, there is a voice of reason on the show in co-host Danny Parkins, who didn't agree with Schlereth's pick.
"I've watched Mike Tomlin overachieve and his defense be incredible," Parkins said. "And when he gets a rookie quarterback, rookie quarterbacks do not well against that defense: 6-25. They get sacked, and they are not efficient. They barely complete 50 percent of their passes…I love the Steelers."
Parkins brought facts and statistics into the conversation, which Schlereth didn't like.
"I hate the fact you bring all kinds of facts and statistics and knowledge to the program," Schlereth said. "You need to stop that right now."
