The Chicago Bears made a big trade last season when the team acquired Los Angeles Chargers veteran receiver Keenan Allen.
In one year with the Bears, Allen brought in 70 receptions for 744 yards and seven scores, but Chicago has not shown any signs of wanting to bring him back.
Allen is still a free agent, and with NFL training camps set to begin this month, he could be signed soon.
Cody Benjamin from CBS Sports thinks Allen could head back to the Chargers and sign with them for the 2025 season.
"If we're going to include a potential Cooper-Raiders reunion, then we almost certainly have to give credence to the possibility of Allen going back to the Bolts," Benjamin wrote. "After all, his former running mate Mike Williams did exactly that this offseason. Los Angeles did invest an early-round pick in Tre Harris as a speed complement to route-running savant Ladd McConkey, but if Jim Harbaugh is serious about making Justin Herbert's supporting cast the best it can be, why not welcome Allen back in a secondary role? Cooper also has ties here, previously working with receivers coach Sanjay Lal when he first played for the Dallas Cowboys."
Allen is coming off a four-year, $80 million contract and could be a nice addition to the Chargers. It wouldn't hurt for the Chargers to sign Allen and see what he has left in the tank.
