ESPN NFL Analyst has Big Prediction for Los Angeles Rams Offense, Raves About Potential

The Los Angeles Rams will look a bit different in 2025, with changes at wide receiver and tight end. While the recent news on left tackle Alaric Jackson has raised some concerns about this unit, it could also have significant potential in 2025.

On the latest episode of The Mina Kimes Show featuring Lenny, NFL analyst Ben Solak of ESPN ranked the Rams as having the 10th-best offense entering 2025. He also explained why he believes this could be one of Sean McVay’s best units in a few years.

“Davante and Puka Nacua with Matthew Stafford in a Sean McVay offense. I think the passing game has top-five potential, I really do…I think we’re going to see about as dangerous of a Rams’ passing game as we have in the last couple years.”

One thing Solak highlighted is the significant upgrade at wide receiver from Cooper Kupp to Davante Adams. While Kupp is a former Offensive Player of the Year winner, the 32-year-old’s athleticism has dropped off considerably. As a result, per Solak, that limited an offense designed on using motion and interchanging its pieces. That will change with Adams, who is a significantly better receiver at this point.

Not only did Los Angeles swap Kupp for Adams, but it also spent a second-round pick on tight end Terrance Ferguson. Solak and Mina Kimes both loved Ferguson’s fit in McVay’s offense, providing Stafford with another pass-catcher who can win his matchups in coverage.

The big unknown, of course, is what happens at left tackle. Jackson was diagnosed with blood clots, jeopardizing his availability for the 2025 NFL season. However, it’s also worth noting that the Rams offensive line was frequently banged up in 2024. With the pass-catching upgrades made, Los Angeles can have a top-flight passing game this fall.
