Eagles Super Bowl Champion Doesn't Hold Back On Vic Fangio

It's safe to say that there's some disagreement between Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio and one of his former Super Bowl-winning pupils.

Eagles Super Bowl Champion Doesn't Hold Back On Vic Fangio

In a recent interview, Fangio said that former Eagles safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson was satisfied with the trade that sent him from Philly to the Houston Texans.

That seems to be news to Gardner-Johnson.

Taking to Instagram in response to what he heard Fangio said, Gardner-Johnson made it clear that there is no love lost between him and the Eagles. He declared that he was used as "a test dummy" by Fangio and the Eagles and accused the team of having issues with him, not the other way around.

"I was a test dummy for them, so now they can be like my 'scheme' worked - or did my skill set make it work," he wrote.

"I had 0 issues. (People) had issues with me.

"So yeah let the salary cap be the excuse."

That comment comes two months after he told reporters that there was "no bad blood" between him and the Eagles. He even said at the time that he acknowledged the team needed to pay its younger players and was happy to be in Houston.

“It was no bad blood... Them young guys just gotta get paid down there... All I asked them was to trade me somewhere I can play winning football, and I woke up and boom there it is, we in Houston,” he said in March.

Gardner-Johnson played no small role in helping the Eagles' defense establish itself as a top-three unit in the NFL last year after ranking near the bottom of the league the year before.

He finished the year with six interceptions, a pick-six, 12 passes defended, 59 tackles, two tackles for loss and a forced fumble.

But within two months of hoisting the Vince Lombardi Trophy, Gardner-Johnson was on his way to Houston in exchange for a Kenyon Green and a fifth-round draft pick.

It's hard to tell if Gardner-Johnson is really upset at the organization or just Vic Fangio right now given some of his prior comments.

We know at least one group of fans who isn't upset though...
