Eagles Starter Officially Cleared to Play in Week 6 vs. Browns

The Philadelphia Eagles are coming off their bye week as they look to get back into the win column. In Week 4, the Eagles fell 33-16 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

In that contest, they were without key players on the offensive end, which included A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Lane Johnson.

Now that they got some time to rest up, Johnson announced on Wednesday that he'll be suiting up in Week 6.

Eagles News: Lane Johnson Will Play on Sunday

When speaking to reporters on Wednesday afternoon, Johnson revealed that he's through the concussion protocol and will be back on the field in Week 6.

Johnson left the Week 3 contest against the New Orleans Saints with a concussion but is ready to return to action.

The 34-year-old is an anchor on the right side of the offensive line and is still one of the top players at his position. In 2024, the Oklahoma product has played in 166 offensive snaps, logging an 87.3 overall grade, 87.9 pass-blocking grade, and 86 run-blocking grade per PFF.

In addition, he's given up zero pressures, sacks, or QB hits. The offensive line for Philadelphia is one of the strengths of this team, so getting that starting five out there is a positive for the Eagles. Especially since they are facing a reeling Cleveland Browns team that is on a three-game losing streak.

The pressure will be on the Eagles, as they are currently 9.5-point favorites according to FanDuel Sportsbook. Going into Week 6, underdogs of 5.5 points or more are 19-4-1 against the spread, including 13 outright wins.
