General manager Howie Roseman and the Philadelphia Eagles may be far from over making more trades moves.
According to Fox Sports' NFL insider Jordan Schultz, the Eagles are open to trading away star tight end Dallas Goedert and veteran defensive end Bryce Huff.
"Sources: The #Eagles have been open to trade talks involving TE Dallas Goedert and DE Bryce Huff. Goedert is in the final year of his deal, while Huff — one of last year’s big free-agent signings — has seen limited playing time due to Philly’s deep rotation," Schultz writes.
Of the two, Goedert would be a better trade deal for the Birds. According to Over The Cap, trading Goedert as a post-June 1 move would cost Philly $7.8 million in dead cap while saving the team just over $4 million.
Goedert, originally a second-round pick of the 2018 draft, has spent all seven seasons with the Eagles. He finished this past season with 20 catches for 215 yards and one touchdown.
As for Huff, the team would only save $1 million in total cap space in a post-June 1 trade. Huff was a major disappointment in 2024 after logging just 2.5 sacks through 10 games.
Goedert is the obvious smarter move, but that would also mean a major loss for Philly's offense.
However, we'll see what Roseman and the Eagles end up doing over the next few days.
