The Philadelphia Eagles are on a bye in Week 5, which came at the perfect time for them. They had dropped two of their last three games.
Receivers A.J. Brown (hamstring) and DeVonta Smith (concussion) missed time for the Eagles but on Monday, Philadelphia got some great news regarding their top two playmakers.
Eagles News: A.J. Brown and Devonta Smith Should Be Back in Week 6
Per James Palmer of Underdog Fantasy, the Eagles are expecting both Brown and Smith to be back on the field in Week 6 as they host the Cleveland Browns.
Brown has missed the last three games as he's been rehabbing his way back from a hamstring strain. Meanwhile, Smith just missed the last contest against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Eagles offense looks vastly different without these two guys on the field. In the loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Philadelphia only had 227 total yards of offense with 4.1 yards per play.
The pressure is building to pile up for the Birds so this is a big sigh of relief for this team. In 35 games with Philadelphia, Brown has 199 catches for 3,071 yards and 19 touchdowns. He's also gone over 1,400-plus receiving yards in consecutive campaigns.
As for Smith, he's known as Mr. Reliable. The Alabama product has compiled 261 receptions for 3,417 yards and 20 touchdowns over four seasons with Philadelphia.
Look for these two guys to bring some juice and explosiveness to the offense, as the Eagles have opened up as massive 8.5-point favorites over the Browns per FanDuel Sportsbook.
