Howie Roseman and the Philadelphia Eagles could have something cooking up their sleeve following the latest 2026 NFL Draft update.
After losing right guard Mekhi Becton to Los Angeles in NFL free agency, the Birds have four compensatory for next year's draft, which means they now have a total of 20 picks over the next two drafts.
For those who are unfamiliar with what a compensatory pick is, these are draft picks awarded to a team that lost more "compensatory free agents" (CFAs) than were signed during the previous offseason. The picks aim to maintain competitive balance across the league and are distributed between rounds 3 and 7 based on the value of the CFAs lost.
The other three CFAs that Philly lost this offseason resulting in draft picks were defensive ends Milton Williams and Josh Sweat, and cornerback Isaiah Rodgers.
Here’s a look at the Eagles’ 2026 NFL Draft selections with those compensatory picks:
- Round 1: own
- Round 2: own
- Round 3: own
- Round 3 (from Jets — Haason Reddick trade)
- Round 3 (projected compensatory pick — Milton Williams)
- Round 4: own
- Round 4 (projected compensatory pick — Josh Sweat)
- Round 5: own
- Round 5 (from Texans — C.J. Gardner-Johnson trade)
- Round 5 (projected compensatory pick — Mekhi Becton)
- Round 6 (projected compensatory pick — Isaiah Rodgers
- Round 7: own
And here’s a look at the Eagles’ current 2025 NFL Draft selections (they have no comp picks this year):
- Round 1: No. 32 overall
- Round 2: No. 64 overall
- Round 3: No. 96 overall
- Round 4: No. 134 overall
- Round 5: No. 161 overall (from Houston)
- Round 5: No. 164 overall (from Cleveland)
- Round 5: No. 165 (from Washington)
- Round 6: No. 168
That is a lot of draft capital to work with. Who knows how Roseman will end up using them, but considering Philly has a ton of holes to fill this offseason, it wouldn't be surprising if he leverages them with a big offseason move.
