Dorit Kemsley has seen Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky throughout many different stages of their relationship — from their years as a happily married pair to their struggles and their eventual separation — so as a result, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member has a unique perspective on where the estranged spouses stand today.
That, and if there's any chance she thinks that they will get back together.
On the March 11 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Dorit said that she hasn't ruled a possible reconciliation out.
"Obviously, you don't know, but I think there are crazier things that have happened," she said on the late night talk series. "I don't think it's a hard no."![A split of Dorit Kemsley, Kyle Richards, and Mauricio Umansky.]()
Are Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky going to get back together?
On The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show, Kyle said that she and Mauricio are looking to take the next steps in their split, not get back together. "I have said to him, 'We have to have the harder conversations now. A lot of decisions are going to have to be made,'" Kyle recalled, noting that the estranged spouses have avoided talking about divorce since they first split in the summer of 2023.
Why hasn't Kyle Richards divorced Mauricio?
Kyle said that it's been difficult for them to discuss divorce because there's no bad blood between them. As she put it, "If we hated each other it would be so easy — not really, but emotionally easy. I think that it was just hard, and neither one of us wanted to be the one to say, 'OK. We're not going to be together and let's start figuring everything out.' We've made it easy for each other to not have to do that by just avoiding everything, actually."
However, taking plenty of time to consider her next steps, Kyle is more prepared for the future.
"I need time to figure things out. Time to figure out where I'm at. It doesn't bring me happiness to say, ‘My marriage didn’t work out and I’m moving on.’ But I'm happy that I'm in a place where I can at least say, ‘OK, we should have these conversations.' They’re not easy to have, but decisions need to be made," Kyle continued. "I’m clear now and I feel stronger, which I'm really grateful for because a year ago I did not feel strong. I just felt scared. In my mind, I knew we were going to have to move forward, just at our own pace. And, you know, we're just taking it day by day."
