Dolphins’ Tyreek Hill Offers Viral Streamer Second Challenge to Race

Just days after Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill's viral race against Olympian track and field sprinter Noah Lyles was called off, Hill has found another competitor to challenge. And it's one he's already called out before.

On Monday afternoon, Hill posted a video on X, formerly known as Twitter, of himself reacting to a race between social media influencers Darren Watkins Jr. (known as IShowSpeed) and Daniel LaBelle, while making sure to throw some shade at Lyles in the process.

"Hey @ishowspeedsui, since @LylesNoah is ducking from me...I'm free to race you," Hill wrote in the caption of the post.

In addition to offering his analysis of the race itself, Hill also challenged Watkins Jr. to follow through on a previous plan.

"Speed, once again, you're ducking me. You were at Fanatics Fest. You live in Miami; I live in Miami. So, I don't know, bro," Hill said in the video. "Let's get this race in. I'm your next opponent. Let's get it, bro."

Hill and Watkins Jr. previously met in a video posted on the latter's YouTube channel in August 2024 outside the Dolphins' practice facility. Towards the end of the video, the two appeared to be lined up to race, but they both stopped running after a few steps.

Hill and Watkins Jr. have yet to race to this day – although they do have a common racing opponent in Lyles, whom Watkins Jr. nearly went stride-for-stride against in a separate race. Whether a race between Hill and Watkins Jr. will be set up remains to be seen, especially since it could pose an injury risk for the former ahead of his 10th season in the NFL.

Regardless, this is likely not the last we will hear of such a proposition being made, and the world will keep its popcorn bucket at the ready in case more drama unfolds.
