The Chicago Bears ended a disappointing season on a positive note with their win over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, and DJ Moore had quite the message for his division rival after the game.
Caleb Williams put together a field goal drive late in the fourth quarter to help the Bears beat the Packers 24-22 at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wis. Moore led all receivers in the game with 9 catches for 86 yards and a touchdown. The star wide receiver had an 18-yard catch on 3rd-and-11 that put Chicago kicker Cairo Santos in position to make a 51-yard field goal as time expired.
After the game, Moore was asked by a reporter if the Bears can take anything from the win given the circumstances. Moore responded with a vulgar message for his division rival.
“We beat the Packers. So, f– ’em,” Moore said.
You can see the video, but be aware that it contains an F-bomb:
Jordan Love left Sunday’s game with an elbow injury in the first half, so that helped the Bears. The Packers are also headed to the postseason, while Chicago finished the year 5-12. You can’t blame Moore for taking some satisfaction from the win, however.
The Packers own the Bears. Green Bay had won 11 straight games between the two teams heading into Sunday’s season finale. Moore and his teammates will take the victory any way they can get it.
