The Chicago Bears could be in the market for a new wide receiver to join Ben Johnson's offense this offseason depending on what happens with Keenan Allen.

The veteran pass catcher previously expressed interest in returning to Chicago and his fellow teammates have vouched for his return as well.

However, Allen will be 33-years-old in April, is expected to have a high price tag, and could look to find a new home following his lone season with the Bears. The new coaching staff will also likely want to get younger at the position to play in the slot.

The Bears already have two studs locked in at the position in DJ Moore and Rome Odunze on the outside. Finding a player to replace a guy like Allen in the slot is going to be a difficult task, but the two pitched the Bears to fill that void in a similar way.

Last offseason prior to the draft, the Bears shocked everyone by giving up a fourth-round pick to the Los Angeles Chargers to acquire Allen. To replace him, Moore and Odunze are vouching for the front office to make another move.

While appearing together on the "Up and Adams Show" with Kay Adams, Cooper Kupp's name was brought up as a possibility to join the Bears after Kupp shared that the Los Angeles Rams will look to trade him this offseason.

"He does it all in the slot," Moore said. "He can maneuver, it's like the game is slow for him."

"I'd love to have Cooper Kupp too," Odunze added. "He's awesome. He's got ties with Junior Adams, my wide receivers coach at the [University of Washington]."

Kupp joining the Bears' offense alongside Moore and Odunze would honestly give the Bears a much more fearsome trio compared to what the team had in 2024. Kupp, like Allen, is a crafty route-runner out of the slot but the downside is that he is similar in age.

The Bears would be better off just re-signing Allen, but if the front office wanted to make another splash, giving up another mid-late round pick for Kupp would be a cheaper option as well money-wise. On Tuesday, NFL Media's Ian Rapoport even said that the Rams would be willing to eat some of Kupp's salary to help facilitate a trade.

The thought of having Kupp land in Chicago is enticing, but the likely option is that the Bears will look to draft a slot guy in the draft or find another younger option in free agency. But, crazier things have happened lately in Chicago.
