Stefon Diggs posted an indirect message to Bills Mafia and to general manager Brandon Beane on social media. It appears as though he just might want to come back to Buffalo and finish what he started with NFL Most Valuable Player, quarterback Josh Allen.
Diggs was traded to the Houston Texans during the 2024 offseason in a salary cap cutting move by the Bills. He originally signed a four-year extension with the Bills, but the final three years were voided by the Texans. Diggs is currently an unrestricted free agent.
Diggs had bleached his social media accounts after the trade and his Instagram page was devoid of any memories from his days in Buffalo.
All of a sudden, Sunday night, his account was flooded with Bills photographs and paraphernalia.
The Bills are in need of a WR3. Amari Cooper is a free agent and the Beane has no plans to bring him back. Buffalo has Keon Coleman and Khalil Shakir as its two main receivers.
Fans posted mixed messages on social media in reaction to Diggs' rather ambiguous posting.
One fan said, "Obviously could be nothing and most likely is BUT I absolutely would welcome Diggs back with open arms"
Another fan simply posted, "No."
There was one fan who was quite verbose.
"From someone who doesn’t really want Diggs back, why do many people do? he’s a locker room cancer, he clearly does not like the idea of everybody eats," the fan said. "He wanted out of Buffalo and kept dropping the ball when it mattered. josh played better without him and won MVP."
