The NFL will release the full Detroit Lions schedule on Wednesday, and we'll get to see who the Lions will take on for Thanksgiving. One team we know they won't be playing is the Chicago Bears. The Bears will be taking on the Philadelphia Eagles on Black Friday this year.

I don't know about all Lions fans, but I think I speak for quite of bit of them when I say thank god. The Lions have played the Bears on four of the last seven Thanksgivings, and it's just become one of the most boring parts of the schedule release.
Now we know that we will see something different this year. But how different? The Lions could just wind up playing another NFC North team again. Seven of their last matchups have been against NFC North teams.
If they don't play one of those teams, here's who they could play: The New York Giants, Pittsburgh Steelers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, or Cleveland Browns. They do play the Cowboys at home this year, but since Dallas is the other team that gets a guaranteed home Thanksgiving game, that one is obviously counted out.
We'll see what the NFL schedule makers do on Wednesday. If you ask us, the most fun game they could come up with is the Lions vs the Giants. We explain why below.
