The Baltimore Ravens' season did not go as planned after they lost 27-25 to the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs.
Of course, going into the offseason, there's always a lot of doubt about whether players will be returning or if any big contracts will be signed.
nhu
One player who general manager Eric DeCosta was asked about is running back Derrick Henry and whether there could be an extension in the future, to which he responded “We’ll look at that. I’m just so grateful he chose us last season.”
On Wednesday, Henry then took to Instagram to post a story that included a graphic of that quote and some other kinds words from DeCosta with the message "RUN IT BACK."
This was just Henry's first year in Baltimore, and he proved why they made the right decision by giving him that two-year $16 million contract.
During the regular season, in 17 starts, he ran the ball 325 times for 1,921 yards and 16 touchdowns (led the NFL) while also having 19 receptions for 193 yards and two touchdowns.
The 2025 season will be the final year that the Ravens have him under this current contract, and even though he'll be 32 years old going into 2026 if Henry keeps up that same production, he could earn another big contract.
As of now, through his seven complete NFL seasons, he has received $67 million in career earnings.
