LeBron James and Derrick Henry share the same royal nickname. King James and King Henry also have a similar admiration for one another. The latter was in attendance on Wednesday night to watch the former as the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Dallas Mavericks in Luka Doncic's return to his former home.
LeBron scored 27 points and added seven rebounds and three assists in the Lakers' 112-97 victory.
"GOAT JAMES," Derrick Henry wrote Thursday on X. "I appreciate the love always my g 1/1 @KingJames."
Henry's praise was in response to a video of LeBron's post-game interview. James was asked his thoughts about Patrick Mahomes and Henry.
"I've said over and over that King Henry is my favorite player in the National Football League," LeBron said.
