The Denver Broncos missed the cut for what would have been fun for the fan base to watch during the 2024 season. I guess they were not intriguing enough, as if last season's drama wasn't good enough either.
This season should have some drama with the rookies they have on the team like Bo Nix, along with the head coach in Sean Payton, and of course, if something goes wrong, we could see some firings happen.
But, when the NFL decided to let Hard Knocks, an HBO special, do the in-season version two seasons ago and last season for the Indianapolis Colts and Arizona Cardinals, it was evident this would be a new thing. So, fans and media have been hoping that maybe the Broncos could get in on that this season.
But, they didn't make the cut. Instead, two teams will be featured. The Chicago Bears will get the offseason version where they follow the team during training camp. The New York Giants will get the in-season version, and of course, there is a new thing where an entire division will get a season as well, and that's the AFC North this year.
We were hoping that the Broncos would make the cut, but maybe they are not interesting enough. Or, who knows, with how Sean Payton is, maybe he declined to have that this season. Either way, there would have been some great moments I'm sure had they gotten picked.
But, maybe there is always next year.
