With the speculation of the Las Vegas Raiders being open to trading Davante Adams, one team comes to mind that could benefit from this trade more than anyone. That team is the Chicago Bears.

The Chicago Bears have been struggling week by week to find who the number one target for their young star Caleb Williams should be. Keenan Allen has been hurt and, when healthy, hasn’t performed particularly well, only having seven receptions for 48 yards in two games. The Six-Time Pro-Bowler has declined a fair amount since the end of last season, and it doesn’t look like he will be much of a factor anytime soon. Allen also is only on a one-year deal and at this rate, the Bears will not sign him back. Rome Odunze might be able to get to that point one day; however, the rookie just isn’t capable of being a WR1 for a competitive franchise. The most interesting player in the Wide Receiving room, who has not lived up to expectations whatsoever, is DJ Moore. Moore has accumulated 22 receptions for 189 yards and only one touchdown. For a team that should surround their rookie superstar with the best wide receiver talent in the league, that stat line will not get it done.

With that struggling Bears offense, this is where Davante Adams comes in. Having a Veteran presence that can be a 1,500-yard receiver, will be great for Caleb Williams. When it comes to the Raiders, they have struggled in the run game, ranked 31st in the NFL. Zamir White and Alexander Mattison have not lived up to the hype as they have been extremely disappointing. D’Andre Swift for the Bears looks like he has taken over the lead-back role after a shaky start. Roschon Johnson, however, has shown signs that he is capable of being a great running back in this league. Johnson hasn’t been given much opportunity in the league yet, but if you are the Raiders front office, why not try it?

In this trade, the Bears would receive Davante Adams and the Raiders would receive Roschon Johnson and the 2025 second Round Pick. This would give the Raiders much-needed Draft picks as they look to finish as one of the worst teams in the NFL this season. As for the Bears, they are all in to win at this point, having one of the best defenses in all of the NFL, and giving their franchise quarterback weapons around him to succeed.

Davante Adams has shown that he is capable of getting back to his old self even with Gardner Minshew as their starting quarterback. In those three games Adams has played, he has recorded 18 receptions, for 209 yards and a touchdown, on pace for another 1,000-yard season. Davante Adams wants to win and being on the Chicago Bears, he is going to have that opportunity.
