Davante Adams throws shade at both Raiders and Jets while praising Rams

It has been nearly eight months since the Las Vegas Raiders gave Davante Adams what he wanted and traded him to the New York Jets.

They say time heals all wounds, but clearly that is not yet the case for Adams, who has once again taken a shot at the Raiders, and possibly the Jets, also.

Adams told ESPN's Sarah Barshop that he feels "rejuvenated" this season because his new team, the Los Angeles Rams, doesn't have "a dark cloud" hanging over it like he experienced over the past few years.

"Everybody's in a good mood. It's not like a dark cloud over the building," he said. "And I've experienced that quite a bit over the last few years. So, it's a glaring difference when you come into a building like this."

Because Adams mentions the "last few years" when talking about that dark cloud, we can say for sure he's at least talking about the Raiders, a team that saw almost total disaster since he joined in 2022.

Adams played for Josh McDaniels at first, and his tenure was a complete and utter failure, leading to his firing. Antonio Pierce came in as the interim and did a good job late in 2023, but Las Vegas was a losing mess under Pierce in 2024.

Things didn't go any better with the Jets, who were fresh off firing their head coach, Robert Saleh, when Adams arrived. The veteran wideout did nothing to change the Jets' fortunes, which led to Aaron Rodgers getting cut and Adams moving on following the regular season.

Adams is in a much better situation in Los Angeles, where there is stability with head coach Sean McVay and quarterback Matthew Stafford, and the Rams are legitimate contenders after making a deeper-than-expected playoff run in 2024.

Jets and Raiders fans might not want to hear it, but they know it to be true. They also can't totally blame Adams for being happier in Los Angeles after the failed stints in New York and Las Vegas.

However, it is important to note that Adams wanted both of those situations and knew full well what he was getting into thanks to each franchise's history.
