Davante Adams is still not over his first win with the New York Jets. After they lost in Adams' initial two games with them, the Jets finally tasted victory in a 21-13 takedown of the Houston Texans at home on Oct. 31. That was also New York's first triumph since its 23-3 win at home over the New England Patriots.
On Sunday, Adams hopped on social media and sent a profound message to Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers, with the wideout using an ancient civilization as a metaphor for the Jets.
"(expletive) it took a second to get Rome put together too," Adams wrote on an Instagram Story as a caption for a photo showing him and Rodgers celebrating together during the Texans game.

Adams also had his best performance in a Jets uniform to help New York beat the Texans, as he racked up 91 receiving yards with a touchdown on seven receptions and 11 targets.
Adams and the Jets still have a long way to go before they can be taken seriously as an NFL playoff contender, considering that they are just 3-6 after nine weeks of football. But the win over CJ Stroud and the Texans could be the start of a wild turnaround for the Jets, who can sustain their newfound momentum with a win in Week 10 versus the Arizona Cardinals at State Farm Stadium in Glendale.
