Darius Slay, Landon Dickerson and more key starters land on Eagles' injury report ahead of Week 9 vs Jaguars

   

The Philadelphia Eagles (5-2) are pretty banged up as they get ready to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars (2-6) in Week 9.

Several starters, including tight end Dallas Goedert (hamstring), defensive tackle Jalen Carter (shoulder), left guard Landon Dickerson, and cornerback Darius Slay (groin) did not practice on Wednesday. 

Meanwhile starting right guard Mekhi Becton (concussion) returned to practice as a limited participant.

Eagles Week 9 Injury Report Observations

  • TE Dallas Goedert is expected to miss a few games with his hamstring injury. 
  • CB Darius Slay had an MRI this week however and the results are pending. He is hopeful he will play but if not then Isaiah Rodgers will start in his place. 
  • Mekhi Becton missed last week's win over the Cincinnati Bengals but appears to be working his way back. 
  • Jalen Carter started last week on the injury report with the same injury be still played in Week 8.
  • With Landon Dickerson out, Tyler Steen took snaps at left guard 
  • DT Byron Young and CB Eli Ricks are off of the injury report after being on it for two weeks. 
  • TE Albert Okwuegbunam returned from injured reserve two weeks ago. The Eagles have one more week to activate him.
  • The Eagles released defensive tackle Siaki Ika from the practice squad and signed offensive lineman Braeden Daniels to take his place.
