The Dallas Cowboys are 2-2 in 2024 after winning last week’s divisional matchup against the New York Giants. Superstar wide receiver CeeDee Lamb had his best game of the season so far, going for 98 yards on seven receptions for a touchdown. However, Lamb received a massive punishment from the league today for multiple violations, and fans are confused after a video of the incident was released.
The NFL fined the star receiver $25,324 for two unsportsmanlike conduct violations in last week’s win, including taunting on his touchdown reception. There was no flag thrown by the official on the play, which has made many fans confused as to why he is being punished now.

In the video, Lamb took off running for the score and looked back at the Giants defender trying to track him down. While it looks like he might have said something to the defender, it is unclear if what he said warranted a penalty.
CeeDee Lamb Career
The superstar has been off to a slow start to the year for his standards, amounting to 316 receiving yards and two touchdowns so far through four games. Lamb has gone for over 1,000 yards receiving every year of his career besides 2020 (his rookie year), when he was just 65 yards short of the mark.
The league has handed out many questionable fines to players for actions that do not seem to affect the game. Players around the league have voiced their feelings about these fines, and have even appealed to their punishments if they disagree.
Do you think Lamb should have been fined for taunting, or is the NFL taking it too far with this punishment?
