Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys are hoping to put together a strong bounce back campaign in 2025 after they missed the playoffs entirely last season. Much of that is going to fall on Prescott's shoulders, and he recently has drawn a lot of praise from fans for an awesome move he made involving one of his former teammates.
Prescott's 2024 season came to an end early after he suffered a partial avulsion of his right hamstring in the Cowboys Week 9 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. Since then, Prescott has been hard at work rehabbing this injury, and based on recent comments he's made, it sounds like he's close to getting back on the field for Dallas.
"I'm getting close to where I want to be, I don't want to put a percentage on it," Prescott said of his hamstring at the 35th annual Children's Cancer Fund gala. "I know we've got team activities coming up, imagine myself being involved in some sort if not all."
"Then again I just understand my age, what I've had, what I've went through, it's about being my best in the fall. So I'm not rushing anything, but I'm where I want to be."
One of the keys to success in football is team chemistry, and that's something Prescott has excelled at building behind the scenes. Case in point, Prescott was recently seen supporting the fashion brand of one of his former teammates, Aviante Collins, even though Collins only played two games with the Cowboys back in 2022.
"Again, another great example of Dak Prescott supporting every single player. This brand was made by OL Aviante Collins, who played in just 2 games for Dallas…that’s it. No matter where a player sits on the depth chart, Prescott treats everyone equally. That’s why he’s QB1," Brandon Loree of Blogging The Boys said in a post on X in response to a photo of Prescott wearing a hat made by Collins.
While Prescott's rehab is going well, the 2025 campaign is still months away. For now, teams are focused on the upcoming 2025 NFL draft, which is set to get underway on Thursday, April 24 at 8 p.m. ET.
