Opening up.
Bachelor Nation fell in love with Daisy Kent as she looked for love with Joey Graziadei on Season 28 of “The Bachelor.”
Since her time on the show, Daisy has been sharing her life on social media, often posting about events, travel adventures, and her experience with hearing loss.
Recently, the Bachelor Nation star opened up and shared some advice on stress management and navigating feelings of loneliness during an Instagram Q&A.
When asked how she handles anxiety and stress with constantly being busy, Daisy shared that it’s all about perspective.
She said, “Right now it re energizes me! I get so excited especially when I get to do things like I did yesterday [speaking at LSU]. I’m lucky that I always usually get to have someone with me which helps a ton! I go on a lot of walks and make sure when I need a breather to rest.”
Daisy also shared, “I also think back to when I was sick and spent months in the hospital. Part of it is I know what it’s like to be not healthy & not able to get out of bed, so I’m just so appreciative of being healthy & being able to be busy.”
One fan asked how the Bachelor Nation star navigates feelings of loneliness, especially romantically, while in college.
Daisy replied, “College is your first time being away from home & figuring things out on your own (for a lot of people). I remember it could feel so lonely at times. I would walk up to girls and be so scared to introduce myself, but that’s how I met some of the best people!”
She continued, “Work towards something you wanna do, set a goal just for yourself. It’s cool to look at something and be like, ‘I did that. And I didn’t need validation from anyone to do it.’”
Daisy encouraged her followers, saying, “Half my friends had boyfriends in college & the other half were single. Both are great, but no matter what it’s so important to do things YOU LOVE and spend time working on yourself. You’re going to change so much in these 4 years & learn so much.”
Another fan asked for advice on finding their purpose or calling, and Daisy answered that it’s a work in progress.
She shared, “No one has it completely figured out! I would take some time & write down what you like to do for fun. For me it was things like writing, reading, music – then looking at things you could potentially do! The thing about life is it’s never too late to change your path or try something new.”
And one follower asked Daisy how she picks herself up and pushes forward when she feels like she’s not doing enough.
Daisy answered, “Creativity always helps me, it fuels me. If I’m feeling down or like I’m not doing enough I try to create something. Whether that’s a TikTok, or writing, it really helps me get out of a funk. Also remembering to be kind to myself. No one has it all together & everyone has days they don’t feel the best or even seasons that are like, ‘what is happening!!!’”
She added, “Sometimes you just have to take it one day at a time & know tomorrow will be better. Do something you’re passionate about or write / doodle your thoughts. I also love to do this!”
We appreciate Daisy’s advice and know that her continuing to share her story and be so open about her experiences will help so many others.
