Bravo fans are still digesting the shock news that Craig Conover and Paige DeSorbo broke up. The announcement came on the cusp of the new year, and now that post-holiday somber January is well upon us all, it seems that the Southern Charm star is ready to face his new normal.
Craig shared a message with his followers on Instagram Stories. It was his first statement on the breakup since it happened.
Craig Conover thanked his followers for the “kind messages”
The Sewing Down South founder is sitting on his front stoop in the home he lovingly prepared for family life. He is sporting stubble and a white sweater.
“I figure it’s finally time to check in with everyone. Sorry about the delay. This has all been very very unexpected to say the least. But I guess I gotta start living again. Whatever my new normal looks like. I have to start with gratitude, will get you through this. With time comes clarity. All of the advice I’m trying to listen to,” Craig pensively said.
He continued, “But yeah, right before the holidays. I was very shocked. Again, it’s ok. It takes two people to be in a relationship. You can’t control other people you can only control how you react to it.”
Craig asked his supporters “to be kind to Paige and me and to yourselves.” He admitted he’s “processing everything” that happened. But it was a “three-year relationship” after all. And one that the Bravolebrity had high hopes for.
He continued, “It’s your best friend who you talk to all day, every day. Then they’re just gone. So, you know, one day I’ll be able to talk more on it. But right now, I just wanted to thank everyone for their kind messages. It has been really nice to read them.”
Craig decided to take his “own advice” that he have a little “faith.”
“And it’s just life,” he concluded. “I have to take my own advice that I give when I speak at these home shows that no one’s ever not better off after a breakup. But I guess now I gotta practice what I preach and believe it. And have faith in god that everything happens for a reason.”
At least the Southern Charm star will have work to keep him busy. He revealed that he has a lot of traveling to do in January for Sewing Down South.
