Craig Conover Addresses Tension With Austen Kroll

Southern Charm star Craig Conover is setting the record straight after weeks of speculation about his friendship with co-star Austen Kroll.

Rumors began circulating after fans noticed what appeared to be awkward exchanges between the two during recent public appearances and on social media. A few cryptic posts from both reality stars only fueled the gossip, with Bravo viewers questioning whether one of the show’s longest-running friendships had hit a breaking point.

Conover addressed the chatter during an interview with Entertainment Tonight this week, insisting that while he and Kroll don’t always see eye to eye, their bond is far from broken. “Austen and I are like brothers,” Conover explained. “We fight, we disagree, and sometimes we need space — but that’s just part of our relationship. We’ve been through too much to let small things tear us apart.”

The Bravo star admitted that the demands of filming and busy schedules can put a strain on even the closest friendships. “When you’re around someone as much as we are, little things can turn into big things. But we talk it out. We’re both passionate guys, and sometimes that passion comes out in the wrong way.”

Kroll has not publicly commented in detail on the rumors, but insiders say the two recently spent time together off-camera, suggesting that whatever tension existed may have already cooled.

For fans, the drama has added an extra layer of intrigue to the upcoming season of Southern Charm, where their dynamic will inevitably be on full display.

Conover summed it up simply: “At the end of the day, we’ve got each other’s backs. That’s never going to change.”
