The Dallas Cowboys have one of the better younger brothers currently plying his trade in the NFL, as cornerback Trevon Diggs has proven to be just as viable a pro star as older brother Stefon Diggs. If they play their cards right in the 2025 NFL Draft, Dallas could have both an older and younger brother on the same team.
Cowboys safety Juanyeh Thomas, who has spent the last two seasons with the team as a special teams ace and backup safety, has a brother coming into the NFL that may be picked in the first two rounds in Florida State standout Azareye'h Thomas. Dallas may need to keep an eye on him.
The younger Thomas, who is getting projected as high as the late first round in NFL mock drafts, has met with the Cowboys during the pre-draft process. Thomas also said that his older brother has been in constant contact with him and will provide aid in his transition from college star to pro player.
The Cowboys would be wise to use their second-round pick on him and reunite the Thomas brothers.
Cowboys could draft Azareye'h Thomas, reunite him with older brother in Dallas
Thomas has been taking advantage of a weak cornerback class, as it now seems incredibly hard to envision a world where he is not drafted in the first two rounds. In a league where corners are getting bigger every year, Thomas' length and strength at 6-2 and 200 pounds will be appealing.
While he might need to be a bit better when it comes to creating turnovers, Thomas should be able to pick up some tips of the trade playing alongside Diggs in Dallas' new-look secondary. Having his brother help him in his transition to the pros could be invaluable.
Diggs, Thomas, and Da'Ron Bland together could make up one of the best secondaries in the NFC if they all play up to their potential. In a division with Jayden Daniels and Jalen Hurts, Dallas will need all the help they can get in the defensive backfield.
Thomas may be a bit raw as a corner, but the Cowboys have shown to be very willing to select unrealized toolboxes like Thomas with the hope their coaching staff can get the most out of him. Playing alongside his brother could help him get accustomed to life in the NFL, all while using his physical gifts to stifle opposing receivers.
