Complete details of Jaxson Dart's contract with the New York Giants revealed

New York Giants first-round pick Jaxson Dart signed his rookie contract Friday, and ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter shared the details on X (formerly Twitter).

It's a fully guaranteed four-year, $17 million deal.

There was never much concern about Dart not signing his deal, but the fact he put pen to paper at the close of the team's first OTA sessions is good news for the rest of the offseason program.

Dart is expected to compete for meaningful reps this season, even if coach Brian Daboll's publicly stated QB plan is for Dart to redshirt behind veterans Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston.

There's no doubt the calls for Dart will grow louder as the season marches on, and with Daboll and GM Joe Schoen both on the hot seat in 2025, getting some positive exposure to Dart before the year ends is good business.

The New York Giants' decision to trade back into the first round of the 2025 NFL draft to land Jaxson Dart will pay dividends in the future. The Giants will have a fifth-year option as a result of Dart being a first-rounder, which does provide the team with some flexibility about when to hand the reins of the offense over to the former Ole Miss star.
