Commanders Rumors Suggest 2 Major Roster Moves Coming

The Washington Commanders have already started their offseason well, acquiring Deebo Samuel from the San Francisco 49ers in a trade that sent a fifth-round pick to the NFC West franchise.

But the Commanders likely won't stop there with their acquisitions as they look to take advantage of Jayden Daniels' rookie contract. However, there are players whom the Commanders could also let walk out the door.

They have an abundance of free agents and general manager Adam Peters and head coach Dan Quinn must decide who they want to keep, and who they don't.

NBC Sports' Matthew Berry compiled a list of rumors and tidbits he heard at the scouting combine, and there are two moves that Washington could make.

"Speaking of Dyami Brown, expect Washington to bring back Zach Ertz but likely let Dyami Brown walk if the price gets too high, which it likely will be," Berry wrote.

Ertz is a no-brainer, and it will likely be on a cheap one-year deal as the chemistry he and Daniels built last season saw the tight end become the rookie's ultimate security blanket.

As for Brown, now a free agent and after four seasons that totaled just 784 yards and four touchdowns, we aren't sure how valid it would be to retain him.

Spotrac.com has Brown's market value at $1.9 million APY, and according to Berry, the price could go far higher, and by that stage, Washington will be out.

Most are focused on who the Commanders bring in this offseason, but the outgoings are just as fascinating, and it appears that two players might already have their futures sorted.
