Commanders rival may have made a fatal mistake (and it could decide the NFC East)

This offseason, the NFC East has seen plenty of change, through both addition and subtraction. One thing remains, though, and that's the Washington Commanders and Philadelphia Eagles are going to be fighting for the top spot.Commanders rival may have made a fatal mistake (and it could decide the NFC East)

If the Dallas Cowboys wanted to enter the conversation, though, they'd still have some work to do. Namely, the Cowboys' failure to address one of their most pressing needs could end up being their downfall.

Dallas' running back room deserved a lot more attention than it received over the past few months. Jerry Jones seems to be content with the status quo, however, which is why the Cowboys went out and signed Javonte Williams and Miles Sanders, along with drafting Jaydon Blue in the fifth round.

Remember when Jerry Jones insisted he was going "all-in" on the Cowboys winning a championship? Oh yeah, he does that every year.

The Cowboys' back field could prove they are the same old Cowboys, and Commanders fans will be the last ones laughing

So, let's get this straight. The Cowboys thought it would be a good idea to sign a career 4.0 YPC running back (Williams) and a guy who has hardly played over the last two seasons while watching his starting job get snatched in Carolina (Sanders).

Those two are sure to lead Dallas to the promised land.

But, just in case they don't, have no fear! The Cowboys' fifth-round running back is here to play rescue.

That's not a knock on Blue by any means. But, if the Cowboys are banking on a fifth-round rookie saving this franchise's running back room, they've got another thing coming.

Now, could Blue end up being great? He absolutely could, and if he does, I'll gladly eat my own words. But, I just find it hilarious to continuously watch Jerry Jones try and convince his fan base he's going "all in" when the fact is, he's done everything but that for two decades now.

Meanwhile, the Commanders' starting quarterback is twice the running back Dallas could ever hope to have in their back field.

Oh, and by the way, Jayden Daniels is also one of the best quarterbacks in the game while we're at it.
