The Washington Commanders have gone from an NFL basket case to a potential NFC powerhouse in the space of 12 months, thanks to the new regime of owner Josh Harris, new general manager Adam Peters, and new head coach Dan Quinn.
Oh, and we can't forget about Jayden Daniels, either.
With the rookie leading the Commanders to a 12-5 record along with winning two playoff games and an NFC Championship appearance, Washington is finally in a good spot with its quarterback situation.
As such, Bleacher Report's Moe Moton rated all 32 teams' quarterback rooms on a "panic" scale from one to 10, with one being zero panic. As expected, Washington with Daniels and Marcus Mariota comes in at a one.
"Daniels put on a show last year," Moton writes. "Between his game-winning drives and the well-deserved accolades, he had one of the best rookie seasons for a quarterback in NFL history. Washington made a reasonable decision to re-sign Mariota, who saw some action while Daniels battled a rib injury in October and in the last week of the season."
Daniels was as advertised in his rookie season, leading the franchise with aplomb while having a super year that ended in an Offensive Rookie of the Year award.
As for Mariota, he came in and was superb when Daniels injured his ribs early in the year, while also beating the Dallas Cowboys in Week 18 as he looked at home in Kliff Kingsbury's offense.
Given the career projection of Daniels and the steady play of Mariota, it is easy to see why there is no panic at the quarterback position for Washington.
And if we are being truthful, there likely won't be for the next decade either.
