The Washington Commanders' offseason has been offensive-centric, with Deebo Samuel and Laremy Tunsil being traded for.
Those moves made sense as Terry McLaurin needed help in the passing game, and Jayden Daniels, who was sacked 47 times last year (sixth-most), needing better protection.
So tick and tick.
But defensively, the Commanders still look a little wobbly and it is in the draft where many feel that the franchise will take defenders in the early rounds. However, picking so late in the first round after an NFC Championship appearance (No. 29), there likely won't be many "studs" left.
However, in what Bleacher Report calls a "dream scenario," the Commanders have a chance at some of the top defensive prospects.
"Just give the Commanders a shot at Shemar Stewart, Mike Green, Mykel Williams or Donovan Ezeiruaku and it's as dreamy as it gets for a team picking in the bottom four," Bleacher Report writes. "They need a lot of juice there following Dante Fowler's departure."
With Fowler Jr. leading the Commanders in sacks last season (10.5), it was an odd move to see the franchise allow him to walk, but in doing so, a need has opened up.
Shemar Stewart is highly unlikely to last until No. 29, so too Mike Green or Mykel Williams, so the Commanders could see a host of star defenders go flying off the board.
But this is a dream scenario, and if one of the players mentioned above is on the board at No. 29, general manager Adam Peters will be turning that draft card in as quickly as he can.
The Commanders need pass rush help, and will get potential Day 1 starters in this dream scenario.
