With the kickoff of the 2024 NFL season hours away, it is never too early to look ahead to the 2025 NFL Draft.

Sporting News' Vinnie Iyer has made his early predictions.  Cleveland Browns fans may feel a bit of deja vu with Iyer's pick.

First of all, the Browns, as of now, will have a first-round draft pick.  This has not happened since the Deshaun Watson trade.  Three NFL Drafts (2022, 2023, and 2024) have come and gone with no first-round pick so that is to be celebrated in its own right.

Iyer projects that the Browns will select 14th overall.  With that pick, he believes they will go back to Texas A&M and draft edge rusher Nic Scourton.  Scourton is 6'4" and weighs in at 285 pounds.  He is considered extremely athletic for his size.

Does this sound familiar?  The Browns have experienced great success with a former Texas A&M edge rusher named Myles Garrett.

Scourton, 20, will have plenty in common with his fellow Aggie and reigning DPOTY Myles Garrett who will be his mentor on the Browns team.

Texas A&M coaches, along with The Athletic's Bruce Feldman believe that Scourton has been overlooked and undervalued.  They project 2024 will be his breakout year.
