The 2024 NFL season is quickly approaching and the Baltimore Ravens will have the honor of ringing in the new season as they’ll take on the Kansas City Chiefs on opening night.
The Ravens saw the Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game during the 2024 NFL Playoffs, but fell short of making the Super Bowl.
Now, Baltimore will be looking to exact some revenge though the bigger goal is to bring back a championship that the franchise has been searching for.
The team is set up well to accomplish just that as reigning MVP Lamar Jackson has shown no signs of slowing down, while the team went out and signed Derrick Henry to give him one of the best backfield running mates in the league.
Although Kansas City is still considered the favorite to win it all and three-peat, analysts like Chris Broussard are picking Baltimore to come out on top via First Things First.
“He has done nothing but prove everybody wrong and I think he’s going to do it this year in the Super Bowl finally,” Broussard said.
Broussard argues that it’s finally time for Jackson to overcome his past failures and finally win a Super Bowl for the Ravens.
While that would be a fun story for Baltimore and its fans, the truth of the matter is Kansas City is set up just as well to win again given all the talent and depth they have on their roster.
It’ll be interesting to see if the Ravens or another team are able to finally dethrone the Chiefs.
