Chiefs' Travis Kelce Training Like Crazy Amid Rumors and Speculation: Could His Intense Work Ethic Signal a Game-Changing Season Ahead?

After the Kansas City Chiefs' loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl, the biggest question hanging over the franchise was what Travis Kelce would do.

With the tight end having accomplished everything he can in the game, along with having a thriving relationship with Taylor Swift, Kelce could have been forgiven for riding off into the sunset to begin the next phase of his life.

Chiefs' Travis Kelce 'Training Like Crazy' Amid Rumors

But as we know, Kelce, after some deliberation, is returning for a 13th NFL season in an attempt to right the wrongs of the Super Bowl.

However, while most were unsure of exactly which way Travis was leaning, head coach Andy Reid knew roughly a week after the Super Bowl that Kelce wouldn't be hanging up the cleats.

“I just wanted him to put it out there and not me,” Reid said via The Athletic's Nate Taylor. “I always like guys to step back (after the season), but he wants to come back and he’s training like crazy, too.”

With the Chiefs looking to atone for the Super Bowl loss, the franchise has made moves to help. Marquise Brown is set for another go-around after injury ruined his season, while Elijah Mitchell was signed in free agency to give some speed to the run game.

But in Kelce's case, he is at a stage in his career where he shouldn't be the 100+ reception guy anymore; he should be a cog in the machine.

With Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy, Brown, Juju Smith-Schuster, Kareen Hunt, Isiah Pacheco, and Mitchell, there is more than enough firepower for the Chiefs not to have to rely on Kelce.

But just in case they do, he's training "like crazy" to prepare for it. ... an "it'' that figures to be his final NFL season before he rides off into a post-NFL sunset with sweetheart Taylor Swift.
