In what has been a turn of events for Tyreek Hill and the Kansas City Chiefs, they could find themselves in a relationship once again very shortly.
Tyreek Hill announced after the Week 18 loss to the Jets that he wants out, and while it’s not confirmed that they WILL trade him, an easy landing spot is back with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Currently the only receivers under contract for 2025 are Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy, and Skyy Moore. Marquise Brown is a free agent and De’Andre Hopkins has a contract that the Chiefs can void.
Rice would greatly benefit from playing alongside the absurd talent of Tyreek Hill, and while Xavier Worthy essentially is taking the Tyreek role currently, having him as your third reciever is a massive luxury the Chiefs need. There’s a possibility that Travis Kelce could retire after this season, and if they do so, the Tyreek trade would totally lesson that blow.
Dolphins Receive: Chiefs 2025 1st Round, 2025 3rd and 2026 4th Round Pick
Chiefs Receive: WR Tyreek Hill
Here’s what the Dolphins gave up in 2021 for Tyreek: 2022 first-round pick (No. 29), second-round pick (No. 50) and fourth-round pick, plus fourth- and sixth-round picks.
Personally I’d expect for the Chiefs to give up less than what the Dolphins gave up as he’s going to be 31 years old in March, but his talent still commands elite capital.
