For the Chiefs, this could provide an undeniable advantage as they look to reset the offensive line with the loss of Joe Thuney. Las Vegas is going to need at least a year to build under new head coach Pete Carroll and for quarterback Geno Smith to adjust to his new team. Aside from Maxx Crosby, there simply isn't a proven presence for Kansas City fans to fear.

The Broncos, Chargers, and Raiders at full health have to treat each game against the Chiefs as their personal Super Bowl. Considering the trio of teams isn't getting past Mahomes and Reid for a legitimate chance at a ring anytime soon, this is understandable. Still, Wilkins injury serves as a reminder of how far the gap remains between Kansas City and the rest of the division.
