While Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is enjoying the offseason with his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, the three-time Super Bowl champion plays to return in 2025 in better shape than ever.
For the 10-time Pro Bowler, taking a legit break is part of the process. "You want to be able to get away from the game so that it’s fresh when you come back in... like it’s the first day of school or something," he explained on his "New Heights" podcast.
"Don’t be afraid to go out there and see something you haven’t seen before. Go to a new place, or take that vacation with your family.
"Step away, recharge, get that going, because it’s only going to make you work harder and feel more refreshed and ready to go when you come back."

The 35-year-old finished last season with the fewest receiving yards (823), touchdowns (3) and yards per reception (8.5) of his career, save for his rookie year, when he played in only one game.
However, the contributions Kelce makes as a leader in the locker room can't be measured and the team is thrilled he's returning to finish out his contract. One the eve before the 2025 NFL draft, Kansas City made sure he felt the love.
The Chiefs posted a photo of Kelce, whom they selected in the third round of the 2013 NFL draft and wrote, "The NFL Draft gave us the best tight end to ever play the game. Who's next?"
Kelce, a future first-ballot Hall of Famer, owns the franchise record for most receiving yards (11,328), which ranks fourth-most by a tight end in NFL history.
During the AFC divisional round in January, he surpassed HOF wide receiver Jerry Rice for the most 100-yard receiving games in NFL postseason history with nine. The list goes on and on.
With the Chiefs on a revenge tour this season, general manager Brett Veach can only hope to find another longterm offensive weapon like Kelce in the NFL draft.
