The Kansas City Chiefs have already spent time with a member of the Miami Hurricanes offense this pre-draft season with a visit from running back Damien Martinez. Now they're set to privately meet with his teammate, wide receiver Sam Brown Jr., next week as the 2025 NFL Draft approaches.
The Chiefs have already been plenty busy checking out potential selections with their allotted 30 pre-draft visits, but Moore's upcoming time with K.C.'s staff adds a potential new late-round grab (or UDFA) to scout.
The Chiefs are spending more and more time with former Hurricanes.
There's no denying Moore's athletic profile. His RAS score speaks for itself with elite metrics for a guy who measures in at 6'0", 207 pounds.

The problem is that the production wasn't consistent across a handful of collegiate seasons. He began his career at West Virginia before transferring to Houston where he finally turned heads in '23 as an honorable mention All-Big 12 player. That season he finished with 62 catches for 815 yards and 3 scores.
Last season, Brown finished up his eligibility with a single season at Miami with 36 catches for 509 yards and 2 touchdowns.
During the pre-draft season, Brown showed off strong at the NFL Combine with the impressive results posted above, including a 41.5" vertical leap and a 40-yard dash time of 4.44 seconds. But any NFL team is taking a flyer of sorts on Brown based on internal projections of his size and dynamism in its system.
For the Chiefs, Brown could make a nice late-draft grab if Andy Reid's staff felt like they could unlock some of that potential. The truth is that the depth chart right now is lacking in fringe candidates, so it's not hard to picture an exciting young prospect emerging to eclipse the likes of Skyy Moore or Tyquan Thornton or Justyn Ross.
