The Kansas City Chiefs haven't had an answer at running back in the last few years.
How about a guy who ran for 1,537 yards in 2024?
That's what ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. projects in his latest mock draft.
He has the Chiefs taking Iowa RB Kaleb Johnson with the No. 63 pick, right at the end of the second round.
"Johnson could help revitalize this run game," Kiper writes.
The former Hawkeyes star was one of the breakout performers of the 2024 college football season. He ran for 1,242 yards across his first two Iowa seasons before getting more than that in year three.
In addition to the 1,537 yards on 6.4 yards per carry, Johnson scored 21 rushing TDs for the Hawkeyes.
Sounds like he's worth a shot for Andy Reid.
