Last week, the Kansas City Chiefs’ star quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce returned to the field, but the story of the game was elsewhere. It was rookie Xavier Worthy and second-year wide receiver Rashee Rice who stole the show.

Rice picked up where he left off last season. During his first game of the 2024-25 season, the 2023 second-round pick appeared shiftier, recording most of his yardage after the catch. During Rice’s season debut, he made seven receptions. In Week 1, he led Kansas City with 103 yards, surpassing Worthy by 56 yards.

Now he is ready for week two.

This was directly in response to being asked about Cincinnati’s wide receivers talking smack leading up to the game.
