There’s a lot of excitement in the Kansas City Chiefs‘ camp right now, because it’s that time of year when the guys are back together, even if it’s for just a short while, and start to develop the team chemistry that they’ll have in the fall. It’s also the first time that the fanbase really gets to see their favorite players back in action, guys such as quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce, the latter, of course who is dating pop singer Taylor Swift.
Mahomes has been active and high-profile with the Chiefs the past few weeks, and now, he’s showing off a new look that has people talking. This upcoming season will mark Mahomes’ ninth with the franchise, so he has kind of grown up in front of the eyes of the team’s fanbase, and they can tell that he’s maturing and becoming a real man.
Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs’ New Head Shot
The Kansas City Chiefs took to social media on Wednesday, June 18, to share a new photo of Mahomes. “A new headshot for QB1,” they stated on X. In the photo, Mahomes’ hairdo looks much more subdued than normal and doesn’t have his characteristic Mohawk, giving him a more mature look, one could say.
Followers were quick to respond, and most of them seemed to like the new look. “Fans are loving the clean look,” one said. “Last day of college, first day at the new job,” one said, half-joking.
“He is thinner, dropped body fat you can clearly see it on the face. MVP season inbound,” one added. “Never thought I would say this but the new cut looks good! Even tho the Mohawk will always be his signature,” one more said. “I’m glad he got the cut lol,” one more commented, but this time on Instagram.
Patrick Mahomes Shares Sweet Moment With Youngster
On Friday, June 13, the Kansas City Chiefs shared some clips of players meeting with a young admirer. “With the help of the non-profit Mile Monsters, Turbo, who has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, spent the day touring our stadium and facility and capped it off with a visit to one of our practices,” the team shared via their Instagram page, along with a gallery of photos and videos featuring Turbo meeting the players, including Mahomes. In one clip, Mahomes is seen giving Turbo a football.
The Chiefs also shared an Instagram post on Friday, June 13, stating that head coach Andy Reid has been involved with the Special Olympics Missouri. “Last week, the 5th Annual Evening with Andy Reid took place to help build support for Special Olympics Missouri,” they stated.
The post from the Chiefs added, “In addition to raffles and auctions to help fund programs for these incredible athletes, Coach Reid announced his partnership with Special Olympics athlete Jared and his business, Jared’s Jams.”
Chiefs in the Community has a range of community programs that enhance the community and Chiefs fans. It’s really touching to see how the team gives back.
