Chiefs ink Xavier Worthy to rookie deal, completing signings for 2024 draft class

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The Kansas City Chiefs agreed to terms with first-round pick Xavier Worthy on his rookie contract.

According to a report from ESPN’s Field Yates, Worthy’s four-year rookie deal is worth $13.79 million and features the customary fifth-year team option for first round picks.

Worthy was selected 28th overall by Kansas City in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft after the Chiefs traded up from the 32nd position in a deal with the Buffalo Bills.

The speedy receiver from Texas completes the signings for Kansas City’s 2024 draft class. The 21-year-old scored 26 touchdowns in his three seasons at Texas and should provide a deep threat along with wide receiver Hollywood Brown to bring back an explosive Chiefs passing attack.
