Derrick White, who put up 12 points, nine rebounds and seven assists against the Suns, became the first player in NBA history with at least 250 three-pointers and 75 blocks in a season, per Dick Lipe of NBC Sports Boston.

White entered the Celtics-Suns game averaging 16.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.6 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.1 blocks while shooting 43.9% from the field, 38.0% from beyond the arc and 83.9% from the free-throw line.

The Celtics won the championship last season against the Dallas Mavericks in five games. White and Co. are looking to become the first team since the 2017-18 Golden State Warriors to win back-to-back championships.

Boston is in second place in the Eastern Conference standings. The team's core of White, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum and Kristaps Porzingis have enjoyed a dominant regular season after winning it all last season.

The Celtics acquired White from the San Antonio Spurs in February 2022. White, 30, is averaging 14.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.0 blocks with Boston.
