Celtics injury report: 2 starters downgraded for Heat game Wednesday

The Celtics will be without two starters on Wednesday night as the face off against Miami Heat at TD Garden. Al Horford (toe sprain) was downgraded from doubtful to out while Jrue Holiday (right shoulder) and Kristaps Porzingis (return from illness reconditioning) will also be out after being originally listed as questionable.

Horford is coming off a season-best performance against the Grizzlies on Monday night, scoring a team-high 26 points while playing 38 minutes. Horford, Porzingis and Holiday will get three days of rest before the Celtics next game on Friday night against the Suns.

Brown sat out Monday’s win over the Grizzlies due to a knee knee injury and had missed four of Boston’s last seven games overall. The All-Star was dealing with a minutes limit in games last week when he was active, so that’s expected to continue against Miami in his return.

The Heat will be without Duncan Robinson (back), Nikola Jovic (hand), Andrew Wiggins (hamstring) and Kevin Love (personal reasons) as they look to win their sixth straight game overall. Miami is two games out of the No. 8 spot in the play-in tournament with seven games remaining in the regular season.

The Celtics and Heat tip off at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday night at TD Garden.
