Carrie Sheds New Light on Aesha vs. Bri and Ellie: “What the F-ck Are You Doing?”

Upon joining the crew of Mustique during Season 9 of Below Deck Mediterranean, Carrie O'Neill was able to assess the dynamic between Elena "Ellie" Dubaich, Aesha Scott, and Bri Muller. Most recently, after Aesha mentioned Carrie's speed to Ellie and Bri during Episode 16 — a comment that upset the two — newbie Carrie shared her thoughts.

"It was kind of the truth. If they were going to get upset about it, well then, work faster. Then, [Aesha] wouldn't have anything to say to you," Carrie explained on the Below Deck Mediterranean After Show (which you can watch above). "I've never seen someone take the length of time it took [Ellie] to decorate the ship. I'm like, 'What the f-ck are you doing? Are you making these decorations first and then putting them? They're coming in bags. Take them out the bags, you've got the theme ready to go. This is not hard.'"

The Scotland native went on to note that upon arriving on the boat, she could tell right away that Aesha was burnt out. "As soon as I saw that, I looked to the other two. The speed wasn't quite there, and I almost thought they were just there for a holiday more than anything. I didn't see much of a work ethic there with the two of them," Carrie expressed. "And Aesha, she's good at her job. She wants to give a good service and do a good job. I could see her not taking rests rather than sacrifice the service, 'cause the other two weren't going to, you know, I don't think they were stepping up to the plate, really."

Ellie Dubaich and Bri Muller's reaction to Aesha Scott's stew meeting

Naturally, the other stews had a different take.

"That meeting was demoralizing, actually," said Ellie of the sit down where Aesha noted how fast Carrie was. "I know that Aesha was trying to get us to do better, [but] it just kind of crushed our spirits. I mean, you cannot tell crew members who've been busting their ass for the entire charter season that they need to be as fast as someone who's just got here."

"I mean, she was basically just telling Ellie and I that we're f-cking slow," added Bri. "But like, it is kind of hard to match that pace when she's had all this rest time and we've been working a whole season. Like, you can't expect us to be like hyperactive Duracell bunnies like she was."
