The Miami Dolphins will be without defensive tackle Zach Sieler and slot cornerback Kader Kohou this weekend. Kohou hasn’t practiced this week due to a neck injury. Sieler suffered an eye injury during Thursday’s practice and didn’t practice on Friday.
According to NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe and Ian Rapoport, Sieler fractured his orbital bone, and his recovery timeline remains unclear and surgery is a possibility. Cornerback Storm Duck is doubtful for Sunday’s matchup against the Arizona Cardinals after missing three consecutive practices with an ankle injury.
Starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is listed as questionable but appears likely to be activated from injured reserve and start after back-to-back full practices. Meanwhile, Tyler Huntley was placed on injured reserve following his shoulder injury in last Sunday’s game, leaving Skylar Thompson, no longer listed on the injury report, as a backup option alongside Tim Boyle. The team also signed C.J. Beathard to the practice squad Wednesday as an additional quarterback option.
Wide receiver Tyreek Hill is questionable after appearing on Thursday’s injury report. Although he missed Friday’s practice, head coach Mike McDaniel said he is ‘very optimistic’ Hill will play.
The Cardinals will be without linebacker Dennis Gardeck (knee), defensive tackle Roy Lopez (ankle), cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting (neck), and defensive tackle Darius Robinson (calf) on Sunday.
After dropping four of their last five games, the Dolphins aim to rebound at home against an Arizona team that has scored over 20 points only once in its last five games. Kickoff is at 1 p.m. at Hard Rock Stadium.
